Fairgrounds Farmers Market

A Winston-Salem tradition since 1974, the market at the fairgrounds is Forsyth County’s longest-running source of locally raised fruits, vegetables and meat, according to the fairgrounds. Vendors also sell flowers, handmade baskets, cakes and pies, bread, jams and jellies, honey and crafts. It opens every Saturday from 6 a.m. to noon; enter through the parking area off 27th Street.

During the Carolina Classic Fair the market moved to Shorefair Drive beside Pine Hall Brick from Sept. 26 to Oct. 11, 2026. It returns to its regular location on Saturday, Oct. 17. The market can close for bad weather, as it did on Jan. 31, 2026; check the fairgrounds page before you go on an icy morning.

The market accepts SNAP EBT cards for fruits, vegetables and local meat and dairy.
