Mother’s Day 2027 is Sunday, May 9. As of Oct. 11, no Winston-Salem venue had posted 2027 Mother’s Day events; restaurants usually publish brunch menus in April. Here is what is confirmed or open every week, and we will add announced brunches and events as they appear.

Gardens and a walk

  • Reynolda Gardens, 2201 Reynolda Road. The gardens and grounds of the 170-acre Reynolda estate are open during daylight hours year-round, free. Reynolda House Museum of American Art, 2250 Reynolda Road, is open 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Sundays and 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, according to Reynolda. Reynolda Village next door has shops and restaurants.
  • Historic Bethabara Park, 2147 Bethabara Road. Free grounds, trails and wetlands, dawn to dusk; see parks and trails.
  • Salem Lake. The 7-mile trail and lakeside picnic areas; the gate locks at 7 p.m.
