Last checked Oct. 12, 2026. Refreshed every three months.
Bakeries in Winston-Salem cluster downtown, where Camino Bakery has shops on West Fourth Street and South Marshall Street in Brookstown, and along Reynolda Road, home to Bobbyboy Bakeshop in Buena Vista, Dough-Joe’s in Reynolda Village and Dewey’s at Reynolda Manor. Dewey’s second shop is at Thruway Center on South Stratford Road, and the doughnut chains are on Burke Mill Road and University Parkway.
How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Winston-Salem’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 12, 2026. We added Dewey’s Thruway Center shop from the bakery’s own site. The historic Winkler Bakery in Old Salem is not listed because its page on the museum site gives no bakery address or hours, and several bakeries with no website of their own are not listed yet. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? Write to us to correct your entry.

Duck Donuts on Burke Mill Road sells doughnuts by the dozen and half-dozen, lets customers build their own assortments and adds seasonal sets.
