Breakfast and coffee in Winston-Salem cluster in a few places: downtown, where Krankies is on East Third Street; the West End, home to The Remedy; Ardmore, where The Ardmore Coffee Shop is on South Hawthorne Road; and Reynolda Village, home to Dough-Joe’s. Duke’s Restaurant is on Country Club Road, and the biscuit, pancake and waffle chains line Peters Creek Parkway, Silas Creek Parkway, Robinhood Road, Reynolda Road and University Parkway.
How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Winston-Salem’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 12, 2026. We added the Biscuitville stores from the chain’s own location list, and we left out a downtown coffee shop whose own page says it has closed. Coffee shops with no website of their own are not listed. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places?
